A Limited Liability Partnership (LLP) was first introduced in India in 2008. The Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 governs LLPs in India. It is a partnership-based firm founded by at least two partners who signed the LLP agreement. The rights and obligations of the selected partner are covered in the LLP agreement.
